BeastiesMommy & AtlasStrike, you two are correct. I said I would put him in a glass tank outside but I haven't done that yet. I suppose it would be like sitting in a car on a sunny day where the temperature can skyrocket very rapidly. I don't want to cook him. I have an ABO cat tent that is scratch proof that I am using for him and my tortoises. I also have a very big, hollow, wooden reptile log that I put in the tent with him while he is outside basking to offer him some shade. The tent looks like this:

Even so I still supervise him like a hawk. I even sunbathe with him in the tent too, and also throw in a couple of cats when it's nice out. My cats don't care about the Beardie and the tortoises.
Thanks sniches and jiveturkey40!!!
I think he took cover under the bushes or underground as well when the temperature was in the low 30s here. But believe me I searched for him in bushes, branches, and on trees but he was very well camouflaged. I can't believe how fast they are too when you turn away for two seconds!!! Even the search dog couldn't sniff him out!!!
Bunnyrut,
Yah we have a lot of indoor/outdoor cats here from the neighbors and I was so apprehensive that either the cats, the dogs, or the hawks and other wildlives would eat him or messed with him until he's dead meat. But luckily he knew where to hide and came out when it was really warm outside. Now it is cold again and there is news of frost possibly developing overnight so I'm very fortunate to have him back. My prayers were answered in due time and I am very grateful.
Mindy1& Momswims1,
Thanks!!! Yes, he is a smart little turd, and I love my little turd!!!
Jloucks,
I'm so glad you finally found your Beardie after several months!!! That's what i was afraid of, that I wouldnt be able to find him until the end of summer. I can't believe you found your kingsnake!!! That is an amazing story!!! I don't think we deliberately lose our pets. These darn reptiles are just curious about the outside world and so they have their escape all planned out and don't intend on coming back until their adventures have been fulfilled. So it's not your fault!!!
Bailey91990 & Eloisethelizard1,
I think I would tear up the entire house if I ever lose my Beardie inside. My Beardie sleeps right next to me at night so I can watch him even when I sleep. Sometimes I let him sleep right inside my sweatshirt but I am very careful to not squish him. I am a light sleeper so he hasn't been squished yet.
Thank you everyone for your support!!! I really appreciate it!!!
