Hey Chrisby, yes they are healthy and it all depends on how many you start with and how many dubias your dragon consumes. :D I like dubias a bit better cause they are slower moving and don't climb.

I would agree that Dubias are prefered, as the Lobsters are fast, and do climb glass and plastic.

That being said, a Lobster being faster is a good thing when it comes to getting a dragons attention.

To figure out how many to start with, track how many of what length you feed per week. Let's say you go through 30 Lobsters that are about 3/4 inch, in a week. I would order 5 weeks of feeders (1/2-3/4 inch, 150) and then order 50 adults, 3 Female to each male, and another nymphs of various sizes. This should be close to the minimum you will need, if it is short, you can order some more later.

Dubias are also much more meat per roach, so you might want to look at them as your feeder, or both. :D

hope this helps.

You'll have to escape-proof whatever container you feed your beardie in, 'cause lobsters will scurry up and out of any tank in about 2 seconds. They hit the ground running! Your beardie needs to be a fast and accurate hunter to get 'em.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
