Lizard ID help

This picture was sent to me by a friend of a friend who knows I keep reptiles. It was taken in New Mexico. My best guess is a pet beardie that maybe got loose but my girlfriend thinks I'm crazy. The perspective makes it difficult to tell the size and it's not the best picture. Unfortunately I don't have and additional info on the picture either..... thoughts?

Could be an escaped beardie but may also be a twin-spotted spiny lizard, from the picture on this one site it looks like the one in your picture somewhat.

It's hard to tell from that photo. There are several wild lizard species in the Southwest that look similar to dragons but it's perfectly fine and normal for them to be out and about.
