Limiting feeding?

Hi! This may be a silly question but I have read about bearded dragon's eating patterns and how they eat less insects as they grow. I have also read that bearded dragons can become obese.

I am wondering, do I have to limit the crickets and worms I feed my beardie as she gets older? Or will she tell me by eating/wanting less insects?

My Peppa tells me when she's had enough, she's 3 years old.

Her limit is about 12 medium crickets. She's fed daily .

Usually a large silkworm + 8 medium crickets + some green leafy stuff (she's not a fan of veg and salad so I get these into her via the insects).

It depends on the dragon really. My dragon is also an adult (4) and I feed him mostly veges (he LOVES squash). I offer bugs once or twice per week. Sometimes he will go after a bunch of roaches, and sometimes he'll ignore them or eat one or two and be done. He tends to go nuts for silk worms and horn worms when I get them in but after they're about a year and a half old I try to focus mostly on a wide variety of veges as the primary diet with a variety of bugs being more supplemental.
