OK, so, I have a solution for now. It's using a ReptiGlo 5.0, but that's just until my reptisun arrives. Here's what it looks like:
OK, it ain't the sexiest, and I had to get rid of my nice background. But, the UV bulb is pretty much exactly 6" from his basking spot at the closest, and 8" at the farthest. The dome over the basking spot is a 100w normal bulb. The dome on the right is a ReptileUV Heat Projector. I may not need that any more, but I needed it during the winter to keep the temps in an acceptable range.
How close can the 100w bulb be? If I can't get the temps up to where I need them, do I go up to a 150w? Move the 100w closer? Add another light?
What are the ideal temps for a 5-month old beardie? (I'd heard something like 105/85?)
Here's where Khalil hung out during the operation, which was right around beddie-bye time:
Thanks everyone!
Steve
