We have a juvenile bearded dragon, Spike, in a 40 gallon tank. We have a light timer to switch his basking and UVB lights on at sunrise (roughly 7 am) and off at sunset (7 pm). However, Spike's tank is inside my son's room and my son has his room light on in the evenings until 8 pm or so. When the room light comes on, it disturbs Spike's sleep. If we were to adjust the wake cycles to 8am until 8 pm, we'd have the same problem in the morning... my son wakes at about 6:30 am and turns the room light on. Any suggestions on how to keep the proper light/dark cycles for Spike and yet allow my son to turn his lights on/off as needed?
