Life with 26 reptiles -img fat-

I thought it would be fun to have a thread chronically my life with my 21 guys. It will be mostly pictures but also with lots of writing. I thought I would start out with introducing everyone.

We will start with Tír na nÓg, my sweet beautiful Beardie. Who became officially mine today (1/7/12). She was a surrender to the shelter I work at and I am so very glad she has joined the 'zoo'.

Sasha is a very sweet, lovely girl. She is a 3-toed box turtle who I got from a friend who didn't want her anymore.

Scully my girl. I've had her for almost 3 years. She is a Leopard Gecko. My friend bred her.

Neville, is super handsome. Just look at that red? I got him at a reptile expo this summer.

Puzzle is another girl from the reptile expo. She fires up super great, but doesn't have the best crests.

I also have 4 Mourning Geckos. JJ, Elle, Penelope and Emily. They are such a fun all female species to work with.

Oz, I got from Bertopia Geckos this summer. He is such a handsome fellow.

Trinity is from Crown Jewel Reptiles. She fires up a beautiful mocha color and is crowned.

Zoom is paired with Trinity for the 2012 season and I am super excited to see what they produce.

Mango is from Altitude Exotics. She is a beautiful lady. Love her creamyness!

River Song. Unsexed at this point. Beautiful tiger flame!

Dragon. I am hopeful this guy will be a super dal like his father.

Anya, my second Crestie! I love this girl!

Fox is a handsome man! His tail is bright orange!

Hades is my loan Banded Gecko. I hope to him a female at some point!

Velvet, was my first Crested Gecko. She is what made my obsession so strong.

Buffy, Female Tokay Gecko.

Smeagol, male Tokay Gecko.

I will also be getting a male R. Sara soon. We are just waiting for the temps to get warmer! Super excited to get this boy!

Wow! You have a ton of tanks and they all look beautiful as well. I love the new pictures of your babies, they're awesome. Your cresties are so velvety-looking that I'm tempted to reach out and stroke their pictures. LOL!

I'm curious, and I don't mean this in a nosy way at all, but approximately how much does it cost per month to feed all your cresties? I'm curious because they eat that pre-made diet stuff. If you find that too personal please do not feel pressured to answer. I'm just extremely curious and I'm sure there are a few others out there who would love to know the same.

I pre-order food, so I will order around 3 pounds witch last almost a year so around 30 a year and I have a Dubia colony, so that takes care of some of it! Then around 30$ a month on crickets and superworms!

They are very different then the Beardies, they really don't eat much around all!

Every time I look at your thread I soo bad want to go out and get a crested gecko! They are adorable, and look like fun to play with! I have four lizards soon to be 5 so why not make it 6?! Where do you recommend to get a nice healthy crested gecko, and where can I go learn about some different morphs? I figured you'd definitely be the person to ask on the matter :mrgreen:

I would join this forum! I am on it under MissScully&Velvet! They are awesome. Lots of info on morphs. Depends on if you want to ship or not. I would try looking at local shows. I will have a few available soonish. That forum has a whole section dedicated to the different morphs!

They add up fast! I had asked you about how much time it takes to care for them all and you really have a streamlined system by the looks of it. I think geckos just take less time in general than the beardies. I could have quite a few different gecko types and be very happy.

Thank you for posting yout tanks and set ups. You have done a really nice job to give them all interesting homes to live in. I'm inspired by a few of your pics.

I love all their names. Especially the ones from Lord of the Rings and Buffy. :3 Such an interesting collection! I envy you. Quite heavily. Look, I'm even a bit green. Heehee.
