I like your bedtime story! :love5: Nef has been sitting on my shoulder here maybe an hour and a half. Actually, she fell asleep awhile ago, and every once in awhile, I move a little more than she'd like, and she s-l-o-w-l-y lifts an eyelid! Not a death glare, but the queen's glare! That's a look! She is so calm and trusting when I hold her, and always expects the best and highest regard from me. (wow, am I a slave! :roll: ) As your baby gets use to being held, you will see what pleasure and comfort there is in these times together.

(regarding burritos, :twisted: there is someone who posts on Craigslist about "breaded dragons." I've held off the sarcastic email so far... :laughhard: )

It always makes me laugh when I see something about 'breaded' dragons. Combine a breaded dragon with a beardie burrito, and it sounds like a pretty yummy lunch to me!!!

jscott, I love the setup you have for your little fella. Does he have a name yet? I think that he is just so lucky to have been brought home by someone who loves him the way you do. It restores my faith in the human race to see how you care for him.

about names:

because i'd rather not bend my beardies tail back(at all, to any degree) i am still unsure whether i have a male or female dragon. because i dont know the gender i've been kind of holding off on the name... i plan on taking my beardie to a herp vet asap and i will have the vet do the looking. some people suggested a unisex name(one that would favor either outcome), but i have some boy/girl names i really like:

male:
Buster
LG (little guy)
Xavier

female:
Bindi
or
Maezee

im still thinking though...

Hello Jason,
I'm glad you tried the burrito When they wiggle like that, it's only that they're settling in and finding a comfy spot, However, little ones tend to wiggle more, but don't think he doesn't like it, it's all new to him as well, however, they're all babies, regardless of the age.
The best time to hold them is right before bed, my two boys fall asleep on me everynight, before going into their viv for the night............. of course they're not spoiled. :roll:

Hey Jason!

I just had a thought! Even though I think that Trooper :wink: would have been a good name, what about a name that you can apply a "Ms." or "Mr." in front of once you know the gender.

I did that with Ms. Tiggs. She was hard to tell for awhile + at that time I wasn't to good at sexing. So for awhile it was Tiggs an once I knew...Ms. Tiggs, but could have very well worked as Mr. Tiggs. :lol:

LG could also stand for Little Grrl, ( :laughing6: ) but what about Wiggle or Wiggly? We used to have a game called Mr. Wiggly, and I think the main character was a rabbit. But the name could adapt either way, as Barbara suggested, and I think he/she has definitely wiggled into your (and our) heart(s)! :love5:

i didnt have time to post them earlier, but here are pictures of the updated ramp/tank. hopefully this will be final, iv'e been told beardies don't like change:

p.s. does the tank seem "too bright"... is that possible with just a 36" reptisun 10.0 and 60 watt heat bulb? granted, my camera is notorious for over-exposure which accounts for some of the glare. can using a white towell bounce rays back up and into his eyes(like snow-blindness)? should i use a brown one instead?

The pic of your viv is a little difficult to see all your hard work, do you stil have the ladder? I like the new slow upgrading ramp.... he's a fortunate little beardie, great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I see what appears to be a towel lining the bottom, I think the towel works good, adds alittle padding for comfort issues. ( The softer approach :wink: )
