LG ~ The Handi-Capable Bearded Dragon

hey everyone, sorry i havent been on lately... i guess by now everyone has heard about Mayze. it took me a while to get over her passing but im finally starting to snap out of it.

i dont have much to share just yet, just these pictures for now:


the other day i walked by LG's cage to find him like this:

he must be getting pretty strong, he couldnt do this on his own before:

i guess he wanted to be closer to his reptisun huh? i moved the heat lamp to that side and dimmed it down since he was closer to it. he seemed to enjoy the stronger rays coming from the UVB light.

It's so nice to hear from you, and that your feeling better, we all have been praying for you. Even LG was saying, "I can climb to new heights, Dad, to make you feel better." Just love that pic with LG on the hut............ and the one with him bearding a little, was that display from something happening, or just showing off his colors?

First off, let me say that you came to right place for help. If I could, I would hug you...What a wonderful thing you did for that poor little dragon! He sounds like he is thriving! I am glad you were able to post pics of the little guy....He is as cute as a button! His story was very moving....I had my good cry for the day...Please keep us updated

thanks everyone, i appreciate the support. LG has sure been a handfull lately; he keeps trying to climb up on that habba hut. i think i may have to make him some sort of shallow staircase out of stacked tiles.

besides that hes really been pigging out. its hard to keep him fed, i may start feeding him canned crickets, i heard those were cheaper but probably not.

i have some new pics of LG and Buddy but theyre stuck on my moms camera. until i can get those uploaded, here is a video i made of LG:

I just received an E-Mail last night from Veronica Rice, who sponsors a Rescue Operation for bearded dragons from her website, "Beautiful Dragons". Apparently, she's looking for photos of bearded dragons, which will be put together into a hard cover book wiwthin the next few months. Proceeds from the sale of this book will be used to help her in her quest to help save bearded dragons who have been abandoned or mistreated.

During the course of our conversation, I mentioned Charlie, and how I had rescued him from terrible pet shop conditions, which led to my getting involved in the forum. She said that his story was very inspiring, and asked if she could copy it into her guest book on the "Beautiful Dragons" website, in the hope that it might inspire others to get involved with beardie rescue. When she said that she found Charlie's story inspiring, of course I had to tell her about you and LG, and your other babies.

Then I found a notification of your latest post in my E-mail tonight, letting me know about your new video of LG, so, of course, I had to watch it, and get my LG fix for the day. What a wonderful tribute to LG and his stubborn spirit and his refusal to let his handicap beat him! And the way that you prepared it speaks wonders about what can be accomplished with a lot of love!

I hope you don't mind, but I just had to send the link for it to Veronica, so she could watch it too, and I'm almost sure that she'll be contacting you for pix of LG, and for permission to put his story in her guest book as well!

LG is looking wonderful....his colors are coming out more all the time, and you can tell how happy he is, just by the expression on his little face! Give him a little beardie hug from me, and keep up the good work!
