How much would it cost to build 4 more?

Im sure that cost an arm and a leg, but its amazing! I cant wait to see what it looks like with your beadie haning out!

Hahahaha,
I stopped adding up what it cost a loooong time ago.

It would be cheaper to fly me to the USA for a few weeks so I could build them for you there rather than shipping them out from Australia. But my wife wouldn't be very happy about leaving her and the kids at home alone    So you would have to put the whole family up for a few weeks at least hehehehe.

Thanks for the kind words guys.
Should be making a bit more progress this week. Mod Podge sealing starts tonight.

Lol, didnt realize you lived so far away! We would love to do something like that, but with 4 bearides and 4 tanks it would be way to expensive. We could do one at a time, but I would feel bad for the ones who didnt get one right away! Cant wait to see the finished product!

Ok,
Well it took a bit longer to finish off than I first thought it would.
A trip to hospital for surgery will set you back a few months.
So here we go

Fantastic build, a real inspiration piece. You really must post this in the Viv pic's only thread.

That is one beautiful set up! I really like the tree you have in there. How did you prep it for the cage? I've read you should boil or bake "real" pieces of wood to get rid of any parasites. That piece is clearly to big for a pot of water or the oven! I would love to do something like that for Dewey.

There are a couple of ways you can treat large pieces of wood, Get you self a large drum or bathtub and soak it in water for a few days (like driftwood)
Or, the way I did it, hang the freshly cut tree limb some where very warm like in your roof, Here in Queensland it gets very hot and during the day it can reach 40 deg C (104F) in my shed its even hotter.
I left it hanging for 6 months.
Combining the two processes will work very well

Hope this helps.

Tah Cat, you are too kind,
I cant take too much credit, I have copied a lot of other peoples designs and adapted them too suit what I was looking for.

I'm glad you guys and gals appreciate what I've tried to achieve.
Heaps of peps say Beardies don't need height in their enclosures, but what I've seen in the wild makes me think other wise.
As you can see from my pictures he loves the tree, spends 70-90% of his time there. Thats why I didn't go the crossfire design.

Cheers

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
