I haven't seen any black beards from Campbell Jane yet, but my dear Jasper (RIP) was all about the black beard! Two of my favourites:

i generally try not to get my dragons riled up, but every now and then something happens to make them black beard. here is Mayze when i tried to take her outside for the first time;

she saw the open blue sky for the first time and almost had a heart attack :roll: ...

the pic is in my signature so everyones probably already seen it, i just thought id give a back-story on the pic.

Here is Foster with a black beard

and here is Foster with a "salt and pepper" beard! He was shedding

The first 2 pics of Foster, I dont remember exactly what he was irritated at. He gets huffy at anything, you know, because it is Tuesday, because I left him in his feeding viv for too long, if he sees Waffle or pretty much anything. He was about 5 months old in the first 2 pics.

On the 3rd picture, it was his first real trip outside, and he was very scared and mad. He was just a little over a year old there.

Kazi has some awesome black beards. Very very dark.

Here is the best pictures of Dave's black beard that I have handy, and I have yet to get a black beard from my 2 young females.

Only 2 of my 4 have blackbearded me. Iccarus normally doesn't blackbeard unless he doesn't feel good, or something spooked him. M&M on the other hand...She blackbeards every chance she gets and will bite at the drop of a hat...Mean old biddy!

And Foster's baby beard still puts my Kazi's to shame. I understand the 'huffy at anything' part tho. Kazi is, at this second, hissing - because the dog is lying in front of his viv.... how dare the dog come in to Kazi's 'space'!! lol!
