Getting a fecal test wouldn't be a bad idea.

Have you tried him on any other live foods?

I've never been a fan of removing hides. You have to trust that the animal will self regulate. But that is a personal opinion.

Hello,

How is he doing today?
Has he eaten anything recently for you?
I hope he is feeling better. Let us know how the lighting situation is going, changing things up should help out a lot for him. Hopefully he will start getting more active soon.
Keep us posted on him.

Whoops, sorry for the slow replies - I didn't have internet at the new place until this week, and work has been insane!

@SLDragon - I give him wax worms as a treat from time to time, but he doesn't care for crickets (too lazy to chase them) and phoenix worms and the like are just too expensive. I tend to take him out of his hide and make him bask, but leave the hide there so he can go back to it after he gets some light. :)

@Tracie - He's doing much better! His appetite is still low, but he's definitely eating now. He gets through most of his salad every day (I'm never really sure of the quantity to give him, though - generally I do about 1.5 handfuls of mustard or collard greens), and he's eating at least a few roaches each day. Yesterday he had four, the day before he had eleven, and the day before that he had six. He has much more energy now, so he's wandering around his cage and draping himself over his perches and will run around in my room a bit before finding somewhere to curl up. Still eating a bit less than I'm comfortable with, but I'm also not yet personally familiar with how their appetites change as they get older and veer more toward greens than proteins...

It sounds like he's doing much better now. The amount of food + insects is good, that's what a healthy adult dragon should eat.

Oh, good! I always worry that he's undereating... he's so lazy, I worry that he's hungry and lacking in energy because of it, and that contributes to his laziness. I'm so glad it sounds pretty normal, quantity-wise. Whew! He had about 11 roaches yesterday but only ate one bite of his salad...

(You can imagine how fussy I am about feeding the humans around me as well, given my panic about feeding my lizard. )

Hello,

He looks really good though, his colors are great! :D At least he is eating his greens though.
I agree, his food amount sounds normal for his age & activity level right now. Hopefully he will pick up his activity again soon.
He is becoming a "lap lizard" LOL as most do when they get a little older.
I know it's hard not to worry though, I do the same thing.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
