I've seen several posts with this title, but I'm really concerned for Dalia.
She hasn't eaten all that much since we got home from up north. She has also been spending the entire day in her cave. When I get home and take her out she's cold since she's not basking like she should. The other day I gave her a soak and had her sit on my chest for a little bit. She ended up falling asleep on my chest and didn't want me to stop rubbing her back through the towel, (I was only using my index finger and was being very gentle.) Anyways she ended up sleeping in the towel overnight in her tank and the next day she spent the whole day on her log that is close to the UVB light. After I took out the towel though, which revealed the cave opening, she went back into the cave and didn't come out until I took her out again. Her eyes are only half open during the day when she's in the cave. She's been fine up until this point and I'm really concerned. She hasn't pooped since 7/26/2015 and it was a little runny, and that was up north. She seems fine when I take her out of the tank, but will usually find a corner somewhere in the room and just hunker down and try to sleep.
Isn't it a little early for Brumation? This will be my first fall/winter with a dragon and I'm not sure what the signs of Brumating are. I don't want to take her into the vet if I don't absolutely need to since it's $$$$$$$$$$$ just to see a vet by me. I've been soaking her everyday and she's been falling asleep in the bath.
Here's a photo of the setup when it was in my room upstairs.
(I also don't have the background in there anymore and there's more tile)
Since then I have moved downstairs since my room was getting small for the large number of animals and people living there. I was also wondering if this could have an impact as to why Dalia is being so punky, since my room upstairs got a lot of natural sunlight and the room we're in now doesn't. She still has all of her lamps, the UVB, basking and even a ceramic heat emitter just in case it gets too cold.
If anyone could provide some feedback as to whether or not I should go to the vet I would appreciate it. Later I'm going to try some baby food and see if she eats that.
