Lenny and his...breath...

Lenny, my recent addition to my clan, has some awful awful breath. It smells like poop almost...just awful. I was wondering why his breath smells like this? It is all around his mouth and if I smell him anywhere else he doesn''t have that odor. He is in a 40 gallon tank, with a heat bulb 90 degree basking because he is an adult. Also I took him to the vet a few days ago and they said he has a severe case of pin worms and coccidia. He is being treated for both of those things. He won't eat any worms or greens. I can get him to eat some baby food squash but nothing else. The vet told me to feed him some plain yogurt to help get some bacteria back in there. I dunno what else it could be.

I don't know about the breath, but did the vet tell you to feed yogurt or SOY yogurt? Beardies are lactose intolerant.
Also, even though he is an adult, his basking spot should be 95 at an absolute minimum, but 100 would be better

Well no wonder he didn't want the yogurt....could explain the diahrea....Huh...he only ate like three licks....

I bought him this herbal suppliment called reptaid. My good friend who breeds bearded dragons says this should snap him out of whatever funk he is in.

Still not eating I tried superworms, crickets, greens, dubias, and hornworms. I think he just doesn't have an appetite because no bearded dragon can resist the hornworm. Its a new and exciting bug....thats green! Snapped our older male out of whatever funk he had. We are keeping a close eye on him.
