LB has escaped???!?!?

About three weeks ago we bought our LB a new home! It is fantastic, a 4.5 ft long, 3 ft deep, 2.5? ft high custom wood enclosure. It has a removable glass front, three lights (heat, regular, and uv) a few climbing branches and a log to hide under. Also two screened in "doors " at the top!

We had some wood pieces on top so the cats don't crash thru the screen. Left today to enjoy mother's day with family and come home, LB is gone! He's about ten inches long right now and there was only one place we think he would have fit. There is a small hole in the screen at a place where its 2 ft off he ground. We can't find him. Locked cats in basement and opened front of enclosure in hopes he heads for his heat lamp. The good news is there is no sign the cats got to him we think but we are baffled how he escaped!

mine escapes all the time but he has been around long enough to head back for the cage. I have caught mine coming down the stairs. They are curious and can blend in for hours in one spot and then run across the floor before blending in again.

We heard him today! Scratching and scrambling somewhere by his home. Looked for him and he was already gone! Sigh...

I think we kinda gave up on finding the little beastie. No more noises or any signs for awhile and no mater what we did we found nothing. Came home from dance recital rehearsal today and stopping to fill out humane society volunteer papers. Took pictures of my son for his 8 months old today and he is always pulling himself up on LBs home. While moving him away so he doesn't fall and break the glass, I happened to look down. There is a lizard at home again! I guess three weeks of exploring was enough! Now I need to get a new heat light bulb wince the other one burnt out during his absence but he does have his uv light on again and water and buggies to eat! Hubby will be excited to see his buddy back when he gets home from work!

Got the little guy new heat bulbs and have his home warming back up. He is very skinny and moves like he is drunk! Having trouble catching food, but hungry so he has eaten a cricket or two and some dried ones. He also has a nice veggie mix and a super worm as a special treat. He hasn't had any of them before and want to give him tempting yummies to get his weight up better. Other than the weight, now that he has come out of his hiding spot in the enclosure, he looks perfect still. Eyes are bright and clear, perked right up at the crickets, and has no injuries from his adventures!
