is anybody else's beardie a lazy one lol. my guy used to be pretty active but as he grew older he just likes to lay in his favorite spot in the tank... go bask after eating, and then back to his spot. when I let him out the tank he just finds a good spot and hides and goes to sleep haha

Mine does the same thing, he use to be very active but now he just lays there even though it's late spring.

also I'm just curious, he will not eat his feeders unless they crawl right in front of his face now. he used to hunt them down all over the cage, now he's just a lazy bumper haha

My Dragon seems to do the same thing except that when I take him outside of his cage he will run around for a bit then just find a spot and sit there or just sleep... Plus I was giving him a bath earlier and noticed spots underneath him... Could that be because of me letting him chill outside of his cage? Someone please help me.

I have one just like that too. Lays around on his basking platform most of the day, doesn't go after bugs unless they crawl right in front of him, and he's a lousy shot with his tongue and misses them half the time too, so we have to keep herding them back into the "strike zone".

He is about 5 years old and ADV positive, so in his case I can't be sure how much of the "laziness" is normal for his age, and how much is due to the virus.

:?: "Spots underneath him" -- are you talking about what are often called "stress lines" (erroneously, by the way, because they don't always indicated stress)? It could just be that he got a little cold. When you take them out of their bath and they're wet, they can cool off very quickly. We usually wrap our beardie in a little towel after his bath and cuddle him for a little while, and then put him back on his basking platform under the heat lamps so he can stay warm.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
