Ok, I my beardie has eaten sm. superworms and has never had the bigs ones. I pick some up yesterday thinking they would entice my beardie to eat. However when he saw them he blew up his chin ans it turned a little dark and opened his mouth as if to yawn, and then he turned away from the worms. I am afraid of them, do you think my beardie is too?

Like Brandon asked, how long is your dragon? He could be intimidated by the worms if he's not big enough to eat them. They should be at least 16" long to eat superworms.

He is about 14" from nose to tail, but skinny. He is very picky with his food, I puree his greens and fruits and I syringe feed him, if I don't then he wont eat them on his own.

14" is way to small for large superworms. your only suppose to introduce supers untill he is 16" although with the small ones i did start mine at 13" with 1 or 2 a day till he got bigger so if you do want to feed him them stick to the smalls in very low amounts.

Ok Iwill stick with the small ones and wax and silk worm. How can I get him to eat more than just 2 crickets a day? He seems to be too lazy to go after them unless they are right under his nose. Can I puree them with his fruits? ( and that would be gross) lol
Thanx for your help!

I'm willing to bet the bank that your dragon has parasites, when was the last time you had a fecal done?

well I adopted him from someone who kept his tank outside under a covered patio, no proper uvb or light for heat, he had sand in the tank and told me to feed him crickets once a week "or so" and give him lettuce every day. so I did what he said not knowing I was killing him and found this site asked many questions and to tell you the truth I really thuoght he was going to die. I did everything I could without bringing he to a vet and it took about 2w -3 weeks and he is doing great now. He got his beautiful color back, eating like a pig, has gained weight and has shedd, he knows my voice now and wants me to hold him and take him outside in the sun ( expel himself) he gets a little pisst off if I dont get him out early enough to poop,(he doesnt want the poop in his tank). I have never seen him so active and i guess the word can be "playfull". He Loves a bath and drinks lots of the water every day, and he is not only eating live food he's eating his greens , he also has a poop everyday now and is normal! He's great and I know he is happy!
Thank you to everyone who helped!!!!!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
