Here's a shot of Knecco climbing into bed before the sun is completely gone. Much better lighting. Someone should tell him that his efforts to camouflage aren't working. Anyone got a chameleon consultant he could visit?

He usually rides in the front on his driftwood.

The levis are because he slips around on the vinyl, and it's easier to clean.
Bouncy rides tend to make poo happen.


Funniest behavior story --

I hadn't seen him wave very often at home. On trips though, nearly every time a vehicle would pass us going a lot faster, he would watch intently and his little arm would be waving like a cruise ship was setting sail.

Then, if we passed someone going slow, he would flare his beard so much wider and for longer than I've ever seen him do it in his viv.

It was pointed out by someone I was telling this to that the waving is submissive. So if that's right, I guess we were losing the freeway race. I'll post video sometime of the waving if I can get it edited and posted.

How old is Knecco? And do u let him roam in the car? Just curious.. I'm still a little uneasy about letting Scarlett have free roam of anything lol

Knecco was born sometime in May 2010. He's about 7mo:14.5" in those pictures.

I'm not exactly thrilled when he decides to leave his perch in the front window and go exploring. I have been surprised with how much exploring he does. But 90% of his time is in the window or on top of a shoulder. I make sure to keep tabs on where he goes, but never let him distract me from driving. I've had to pull over because he had gone behind my seat. I don't want him to be under anything, especially my seat or feet.

As long as he stays on the top of stuff, and has finished pooping (guaranteed to happen on 8hr trips), I'll let him walk on the tops of seats, duffel bags and luggage. I stuff the bags and luggage in the leg-room between the seats to cut down on my worries.

When the sun moves he wants to follow it, in that determined way they decide to move. Going south/west he'll stay on the dash the whole time. Going north or east he likes to move around the car or hide when the sun goes away. There's ways to keep them warm, but I don't know how well it will work when he gets big.

That's cool.. We are taking Scarlett with us on vacation in May to the beach and I've been trying to find out all I can about traveling with them... Any tips would be great!
