While I think the Geico Gecko is cute and funny. I always thought the standing up and walking was a little 'forced' by the animators.

Well, Knecco just surprised the heck out of me while exploring my computer desk. I'd almost swear he was either watching the screen, or imitating me. Cute little rascal.

Oh! Everyone, meet Knecco; Knecco -- everyone.

Knecco -- with a silent 'Kuh', like in Knight, Knee and "whiskers on knitt'ns".
So it is pronounced like the pastel Necco candies.
It can also be seen spelled as 'Gnecco' when referring to him as a bearded dragon (i.e. not a gecko). And to the tiny village he plunders in his dreams, he is known as a ziffen called Xnecco Echo.

Awww, he's adorable! That pic I never though I'd see. I have seen them stand up against the glass of their tanks when they sleep but not like that!

Kidding, this isn't faked or forced. I've had several friends ask if I posed him that way.

Nope, I just caught him that way while I was typing away. All I did was sneak the shot by keeping my camera at my feet while working.

So, I heard a smack in Gnecco's viv. Thought he'd finished off that one last cricket that had to come out of hiding after the breakfast massacre.

I glanced over to see if he was gloating on his basking rock. ... no one there.

I got up and walked over to look around on his floor inside the viv. ... no one there.

I look under all of his furniture (which is not much while he's small). ... no one there.

I panic!!! Where the heck?!? I reach to push open the screen and just before making a huge mistake, I see him.

My only response at this point is to grab the camera, "no one is going to believe this."

I guess he's willing to challenge that 'not a gecko' part of his name. That, or he wants to tan his pasty white belly.

He jumped up there twice today. Even crawls around. I can't open the tank while he's up there.


I think he might be expressing his opinion about the new shelf liner I put in yesterday.
