My girl has layed 4 clutches, the last one looked weird because some of the eggs were deformed and a couple were smooshed together and broke open. Since this I have posted a picture of a weird egg that she had layed where it looked like the yolk was on the outside. She is now laying 1 egg everyday for the past 5 days. The eggs do not look good even though I have been upping her calcium even more. They look to be more of a hard yolk...it seems like she is not able to hold the clutch in her anymore and they are coming out as they are developing?! She is not showing any of her usual signs such as digging or tearing up her cage and she is very skinny even though she is eating like crazy. I put a laybox in there today and she went in it, dug a hole, and then came out and layed an egg ontop of her sand :?: I called a vet today and they said that I would need to bring her in to get xrays and blood work after paying a 70.00 office fee. He said that I am going to probably have to have surgery on her because it sounds like something collapsed during her last clutch?! This sounds like it is going to get very, very, expensive...has anyone ever heard or delt with anything like this before?
