i know everyone says to keep dragons apart but i was wondering if its possable to keep two females together?. my two babys adore each other bacardi keeps getting stress marks all over her and wont eat unless she is with brandy the two of them hang out together when ever they can and eat together when they can they act almost like sisters.as long as they get along well and are watched closly could they be kept together in a large cage? i do have a cage for each but they glass dance at each other and bacardi refuses to eat and gets stress marks when not with brandy. they are about three months old i am always home to watch them and the cages are in my living room

if you keep a close eye on them i would think it should be fine the biggest worrie is them nipping at eachother

Try making it so that they can't see one another when they are in their cages. Just cover up the side of the tank. I've found that it stresses them out to be able to see other beardies. I would try this first before jumping to the point of caging them together.

they may be fine if they are from the same clutch and you are sure they are both females but they can still fight and may need to be seperated and you must make sure they dont bask on top of each other

but i would go with the above posters suggestion of trying to block their view from each other first

I'm having an uh oh moment - why does one need to make sure that they don't lay on top of each other when basking. I have 2 juveniles that have been doing it all the time and I thought it was cute

I have kept my two beardies together I think they are both males so no boubt eventually I will have to separate them but I've heard that two females are possible. Just ensure that you feed them enough and they both get equal share so they don't start nipping at each other. I think it is always fine to try as long as you can keep an eye on them.
Good Luck.

Well when a beardie basks on another its generally a sign of dominance but in young dragons i personally wouldnt be worried. In adults that behavior has proven to be one sign.

Funny as i have a tiny - say 3 month old who loves to lay on the much larger 6 month olds back. So I think as for now I must be fine.

If they're laying on each other the one on the bottom is not getting any UV, so it's a form of dominance. They are trying to compete for the basking spot. They also tend to bully one another for food, usually one grows quite a bit faster than the other due to this.

3 months and 6 months are usually fine, it doesn't usually get bad until they put a little weight on

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
