keep that desert but keep it safe

hello. i have only babysitted my friends uro but i know a lot about them and here is a way to keep that desert feeling while maintaining a safe eating habitat for the lizard. works best in a sixty gal tank. pick a corner on the cool side of the tank, preferably on the far side. take the sand out of that area. replace it with birdseed.build a little wall and maybe a little high area for your lizard. put the bowl in the perimeter of the wall which should take up around a sixth of the floor space. have enough space for ur uro to get out of the space. youre uro should go in there to eat , eat come back out of the area filled with birdseed , come out of the eating area and enjoy the sand. hope this helps. :whip:

I still would rather not use the sand since i know their are other risks besides just the uros eating it :dontknow:
