hi my bearded dragon weighs 218 grams is about 15 inches long and is around 5- 6 months old and after i gave him some dubia roaches(kind of big males ) this morning he puked them up. i waited a few min cleaned them up and fed him 3 med roaches he gobbled them up. is it normal for beardies to puke?or should i be alarmed? thanks kevin

Hi Kevin.

No its not normal for dragons to puke.

Did he puke in front of you?

It could be that the males you gave were just too big, and too many.

What are the temps in your tank and how are you measuring them?

temps are perfect 107 basking spot 82-85 cool side .He has been eating smaller dubias after he puked so i think he is fine .he is in shed mode now also

You know I'm no expert and I've only raised 1 baby dragon. temperature and humidity go together. I happen to live in an area where the humidity is 15 to 20 percent. I have to use a humidifier to get the humidity between 30 and 40 percent. that went on a raise my baby dragon I never kept it higher than 104 degrees when he was a baby. was he was a juvenile he got dehydrated impacted so I dropped the temperatures to 100 degrees. please I don't even know if you should even be listening to a word I say. all I'm saying is on the 1 dragon I raized that's what I did.

was he upset at all. if mine gets mad, Like if i try to give him a bath, which hes not a fan of, or if he just gets upset then he will throw up also. the fact that hes eating now is a good sign that hes ok.

also did you hold him after he ate, because that causes mine to get sick also, you should not pick him up for at least an hour after he eats.
