What are you using for a UVB? T 8 or a T 5 and is it in the tank or on the screen --- your screen will determine where the UVB goes --- the basking temps for a juvie maybe a little to warm for him I would lower it down to 95-100 -- and raising the humidity will help w/ the shed -- what kind of a basking bulb are you using as well ? Brand please -- no off white or yellowish bulbs and no daytime bulbs -- they have a coating on them called neoyidium that is bad for the eyes --- how are you taking your surface basking temps? You want a digital probe thermometer they are the most accurate -- please place the water bowl on the hot side of the tank --Hey, my beadie has barely eaten anything in a week, only have 3 crickets about 3 days ago. He also just sleeps all day or chills with his eyes closed.
His basking temp is 105° with humidity being around 20-30%. UVB and heat light are over crossing each other and meet at the basking spot, the light covers about 2/3 of his tank with a water bowl on the cold side.
He is 6-8 months old, and like I said he is not eating and sleeps all day. He is shedding a little bit, so I am thinking he is not eating cause of that. And I really hope it is nothing worse and he is not ill. I told him to a vet today and she told me to bring up the humidity so it’s easier for him to shed.
I’m looking for any suggestions on what his problem could be, and what I should do with him.
The same thing happened when I first got him and the vet gave me meds. I am away at work right now but once I get home I will show pics of his enclosure and name the meds that he gave me. (The vet from today did not give me meds)
I don’t know those numbers off the top of my heads. I get off work in about 5 hours and I willWhat are you using for a UVB? Ok the T 5 or T 8 are going to be on the bulb look for them -- and the placement and distance is going to determine where that UVB needs to go a long w/ the screen on the tank - you want 2 digital probe thermometers --I don’t know those numbers off the top of my heads. Update you with the numbers and the other info. I just use the thermometer in my tank. I’ll go out and buy a digital probe, the lights are also on top of the screen. And I’ll be sure to move it when I can
Yes please post but incorrect placement of the uvb and temps in the tank will cause the same behavior so we need to start ruling these things outOkay, I’ll do some research on that. Unless you know. Do any of these symptoms sound like a parasite? I have a picture of his poop he took yesterday if that helps

I will raise the lamps as suggested, but his poop from yesterday was runny, brown colour and had the white speck. Looks alright other than it being runny
Please get rid of the red light bulb+- they are bad on the eyes and can cause long term eye damage a long w/ blindness they disrupt sleep - what is in the other dome ? You need a uvb - is the other light a mvb?I will raise the lamps as suggested, but his poop from yesterday was runny, brown colour and had the white speck. Looks alright other than it being runny
Clear bright white basking bulb like ExoTerra Intense basking or ZooMed Repti Basking Spot. I would recommend getting rid of that UVB coil and switching to a T5 tube UVB with a reflector hood. The way that coil is set up it is not providing enough UVB at best and actually doing harm at worst, depending on the brand. ZooMed and Arcadia both make excellent hoods and bulbs. You want the Reptisun T5HO from ZooMed or the ProT5 from Arcadia. The ZooMed comes with a 5.0 bulb but you need a 10.0 or Arcadia 12% bulb. The other light is a UVB. What light do you suggest other than the red?
This is a good reason why your dragon is not eating and sleeping all the time --- he is getting sick w/ the improper UVB and basking bulb-- you also need good surface temps 95-100 for a juvie/ adult dragon -- is this a current pic shown ? If it is he looks more like a baby than a 8 month old dragon -- please also get 2 digital probe thermometers for your tank -- you need to take the surface basking temp w/ the probe place it on the spot where he sits for basking 10 min or longer and then get your temp -- cool side of the tank during the day 80's -- you want your tank at night 65-75 ambient temp and dark -- if you need links for the UVB's please ask I will help you - you can check Pet Smart if you have one in your town for the Arcadia Pro T 5 12 % bulb -- the Zoo Med fixture is going to be a 24" fixture most Pet Smarts only carry the 18-20 " fixtures they are the T 8's you want a fixture that fits a T 5 bulb it will say on the box - the bulbs are 22" --The other light is a UVB.
