Just picked up my first beardie! (Progression thread)

She is a sandfire tiger leatherback, and she is as sweet as they get! The place I got her from is a local (well, as local as an hour away counts as) herpetology place! The owner is a herpetologist, so all of the animals are treated well. And they also do rescues She is my very first dragon, and I have spent the past two months researching them so I hope I do good! My basic set up: 20 gallon long tank, reptisun 10.0, 100 watt bulb with a dome that is ceramic on the inside, paper towel as substrate (until I can get some tile cut out for me), a climbing rock closer to the dome as a basking spot, a bowl for salad, and a screen top. Anything I am missing? (I have calcium and vitamin supplements.)

I have never seen my beardie turn that black on their beard!
My bf dad has an open trailer and now my beardie constantly wants to sit in it and enjoy the sunlight. He tries to get out when they put him back inside the cage. I feel bad lol. I am away for 3 weeks now I miss my dragon so much

And that's so cute! Sparx thoroughly enjoys his cage, he really doesn't like being out unless he's on my lap. I hope you get to see your dragon again soon!

So I cleared out the back room to give him some free roam space, since he doesn't like being outside, and he loves it!

Yup! That's what I had in mind while clearing out the room, he gets some nice sun while being safely inside
So this was a recent attempt of taking him outside

She looks exactly like my Emily when she was a baby, now Emily is a beautiful red orange and burgundy color. Your baby is so stinking cute. I just wanna cuddle your baby.

This is his spot for most of the day when it's warm, he sits on my chair while I do my schooling. It's a pleather chair so he has no grip on it. That's why there's a towel there

Sparx is so pretty! My new dragon, Oliver, looks almost exactly the same as Baby Sparx! I would be happy if he (or she!) turns out to be half as pretty as Sparx is!

Oliver is so weird! He has stress marks all over him when he's basking but when I pet/bathe/hold him they go away. Who knew a dragon would be calm while being handled and not while basking! Here is a basking photo of him for comparison:

I can't believe I have only had Oliver for 2 days and he already has a distinct personality!
