My bro and I, after weeks of joking about it, just went out and got a baby Leopard Gecko this afternoon.

Draco (bd) has been moved to his bigger home and his 20gal was staring at us all the time and looking so empty. So we set it up with a moss box and a couple of hides, plus a UTH etc... and got our baby 'MOJO' today :D

He's soooo cute and cool! He's been exploring the hides and napping here and there. Gonna leave him be for 4-7 days to let him settle before we handle him. He's in a different room to Draco too, so they don't stress each other out.

Anyway, just wanted to share :D

Jon

Ps: Pics coming soon!

lol working on it, working on it! He's so shy at the moment and we don't want to get him out until he's had a few days to settle in :)

As soon as he's settled though, photos will be taken and posted :D

My bad folks I have been away, but, below are the only two photos I currently have on the laptop, hope you like!?

One of him from the top and one about to feed. Since I have been away, my brother has managed to get him from a scared little leo to one who comes out of hiding when you put your hand in, and has no trouble eating from your hand. He's an aggresive little feeder and is sooo cute! Still not picking him up yet though! He walks onto our hand no problem now and so we are starting to slowly lift him up. He tends to hop off but we're getting there slowly. We're wanting to take our time with him and get him really tame.

We've also fed him a mixture of really small mealworm (we don't feed them to Draco, our BD, but all the leo forums say they are ok for leo's), small locust, a few phoenix worms and the odd smaller butterworm and he seems to like all of it. Anything that moves and wham! It's gone!

I do love the colours too, it's why we chose him, but we are worried he'll change as he gets older after something we heard about them losing the black? There's that many morph's I can't keep up, but he's cool no matter what!

Aha ! Finally !
Oh Fal, he is just lovely ! Yes, he will lose the pattern, but not the color necessarily.
Can't wait for more !

Thanks Janie, sorry it's been a while coming!

He is getting tamer and tamer by the day, as soon as our hand goes in, he's heading for it (the opposite to Draco, but we're working on him as if from the beginning again to re-reassure him lol). So as soon as he's more handleable, we'll get more pics.

It's a shame about the pattern, but he's soooo cool anyway, I don't really care! :D

I love it when he licks his lips (and occasionally his eye lol), he's got so much character and if I peer in whilst he is out, he comes up to the glass to peer back at me lol (probably thinking, where is my food?) hehe

:D

Jon

ps: I have only ever seen him venture half into his moss box twice, where as at the store, he was in it almost permanently? Mind you, it was a small tank they had in there, couldn't have been much of a gradient het wise.

he will in time,Fal no worries. My babies tend to spend some time in one hide, or another, but there are currently 3 in that 40 sharing two hides ;).
Oh when JOJO hunts, does his/her little tail twitch furiously ! You'll laugh so hard ! I call it Tiddlertail ! Try some roaches to help fatten up this little fellow, too. I stopped with the mealies once I got roaches, and well, mine are all fat n sassy... Just like momma ;)

I haven't seen his tail twich but I will look out for it!

We've had him on locust, phoenix worm and one or two butterworm as well as mealies, but have soooo many in this one tub we bought, they're lasting us forever lol, rather than Draco who's eating a tub of locust a sitting :? costs a bomb lol

Picked Mojo... well he climbed onto my hand... last night and I lifted him up and out of the tank for the first time and... he didn't try to run or jump off! He looked down, back into his tank and the seemed to casually walk around and accross my other hand once or twice looking for a way down, but was very relaxed and calm, so I slowly put him down and he calmly walked off my hand, then got back on 30secs later for more food :D

The slow and patient work my brother (mainly as I was away) and I have put in is paying off w000t!!! :D

Draco (bd) who has been a nightmare lately to get out, hasn't been too bad at all the past two days either, and has been totally fine once we have got him out. Patience is most certainly the key!

SOOOO PLEASED! :p

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
