Hello, so we have a juvenile male coming in December. However, it seemed just as easy to setup 2 tanks as one, so we adopted this girl on Friday. She's eating very well! And pooping too - so all systems go. Had the basking temperature too low, but got that fixed in a day with a 150w bulb. So glass scratching has stopped. She still has black stripes on her belly, but from what I'm reading that is normal for a couple of weeks following a change in homes. My daughter has fallen in love with her and holds her as much as possible - she seems to really enjoy the attention. So what is she, orange? We have fallen in love with this girl in no time - the kids named her Zelda

She is a beautiful girl! When you said "it seemed easy to set up 2 tanks as one", do you mean you put a divider up, or would they be living together? If you use a divider - I recommend that you use something they can't see each other through, even a piece of cardboard would do. If they can see each other, they can easily get stressed out, etc. Living together isn't a great option, as one of them will always dominate, get the best food, best hide, best basking spot, and it usually mean the other one lives in constant stress. Wish you the best with your new babies, pics are always welcome!

Hi. Thanks. I meant two separate viv's - it wasn't hard to pick up an extra set of lights, domes, Reptisun 10.0 lights - and it didn't hurt that one of the national chain pet stores had their $1/gallon tank sale. Each will have their own space. The tanks will be next to each other and the facing sides will be covered so they cannot see each other. Thanks again. I keep referring back to this site and the discussion threads and am learning much - including your point on dominance and am hoping I took that into adequate consideration by setting up two completely separate environments.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
