Just a fat belly or constipation?

So for around 2 weeks now my beardie hasn't pooped very much, at first I fed him like normal but then he kept straining to poop and was also looking like a half filled whoopy cushion so I stopped and continued bathing and massaging him. He's done a few big poops and then a bunch of little poops that looked like he strained to get out. The belly went down and down and now it looks "normal" I just wanted opinions on how his belly looked. It doesn't feel hard or firm anymore it just feels like fat, like if you've every felt a bigger persons stomach kinda like that? I know that's a weird example but I'm half awake right now....also think of a water bed.
Here's pictures-

Also he has been sleeping a lot, and earlier. This was him yesterday at around 1pm in the afternoon

Could it be brumation?

If he's pooping regularly I would say he's either not impacted at all or it's not severe enough to be a big issue. His belly looks fine to me, you want them to have a little bit of a pot belly lol. The key is to know your dragon. For example my girl goes every day and if she misses a day she will usually go twice the next day a large pile followed by a small pile. So if you feel your dragons poo pile is looking a little small for him than a warm bath and plenty of water to keep him hyderated certainly won't hurt. Sounds like you took the appropriate steps just to be safe.

As for brumation, how old is your dragon? Younger dragons tend to not brumate. But I will say even they will slow down a little sometimes. My 6 month old who is usually full of energy now naps on her basking log throughout the day. While she's not going into full blown brumation I do suspect this time next year I'll be missing her for a few months

Forgot to ask the breeder I bought him from at a reptile expo early in august this year. But he is 16 inches long and from what I've read online it's a rough estimate but most likely either a year old or 8+ months. I want to kick myself every time I remember I forgot to ask his age lol.

Just from looking at him I'd guess around 8months give or take a few. He's still a young guy with more growing and maturing to do so I definitely wouldn't think he'd be trying to brumate. Maybe slowing down just a little which is perfectly normal.
He's certainly a handsome guy, beautiful colors

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
