Jiffy's beardies, Someone New!** pg 42

I do not have a thread for all of my boys day to day adventures.
I will start one here. I have bunches of pictures and cuteness, but dont want to overload anyone, so I will add stuff along.

Waffle just turned 4 on April 2nd. I have had him since he was about 6 weeks old.
Sweet boy, laid back, doesnt like to eat half the time. And he hates my boyfriend Butch! :lol:

Foster is my Craigslist beardie. I had not been looking for another beardie, but saw an add on Craigslist that said looking for a home for 3 legged baby bearded dragon. Well, that was all it took.
He will be 3 on June 16th. I have had him since he was almost 6 weeks old. He likes to eat, and head bob and black beard, and just lay around being bright orange!

Brady is my newest baby, and was my 2009 Valentines Day Present. He was in a local petstore, he was missing an arm, had no uv light, barely being fed, very tiny, in nasty conditions. I tried for 2 months to get the store to give him to me, or sell him to me. They said they were keeping him as a pet. Finally my boyfriend got him for me for Valentines Day. I think he is a bit more persuasive than I am! :wink:
He turned 1 on August 1st.

All of my boys are doing good, running around hormonal and eating like crazy. Tilly just recently got to try hornworms for the first time, and I am afraid I have created a hornworm monster. That is all he wants. Gee, no one wants to eat the 6 million dubia that I have. They want the hornworms that I am now out of, and the supers that I only have a limited amt of, not the never ending dubia! lol

Nothing new to post, just wanted to make sure the thread did not get locked.
All 4 of my boys are doing good. Tilly is seeming to be almost semi-brumating, and is not eating a lot, but he is fine. Rest of them are eating like crazy.

just starting. hopefully it is ok though, I dont feel too bad about him going down now, since he is all worm free and fat and healthy

It the fat & healthy that is so good to hear. I wish my boys were eating like crazy, ever since they woke up they've been picky about what they'll eat & greens don't seem to be on their menu. At least they're eating something every day. Lonzo is 9 yrs old now, he went to the vet after he woke up from brumation & she told me he's losing his fat pads in his abdomen, so he gets up daily & has since gained 12 grams. I'll keep working on them.

Glad to hear that Tilly is fat & healthy, do you think he's just in the wrong season for brumation or is it because he finally has enough weight on him to sleep?

Hi everyone!
Nothing new going on with my and my boys, just haven't been on here in a while, and wanted to pop in and say hi.
All of my boys are fat and healthy, getting kind of lazy now due to the time of year.
I also got 2 new collared lizards, they are very cute, and their names are Leather and Pinky (like the sisters from Happy Days)

Hi Jennifer, long time no hear from on here, anyway. Wow you have 2 new collared lizards, you'll have to post pics as I've never seen those types. So welcome Leather & Pinky. Are they like dragons in their care?

So your boys are doing well, that's really good to hear. Rubio is in full brumation now, has been for over a week & Didi just went to sleep today, he's been working up to it. I think Leo will be next & maybe Gabriel, will see.

Lonzo is NOT allowed to brumate this year & he's not happy about it. He flipped over 7 times in April and his right lung still is not functioning. The vet said he pulled all the muscles that work the lung, guess it's not every going to work right & as he's now 9 1/2 yrs old, have to keep an eye on him.

Give your boys a big hug from us all, glad they're all doing well.

Hello Jennifer, I also have missed you on here. I'm glad things are going good for you. We lost Goldie at the end of July this year. I believe her kidneys had been failing for a little over one year. It got worse the last couple of months of her life. She never brumated but Rosie has brumated for two years, this year being her third. She laid eggs in the spring of 2011, 22 eggs in one year this last year it was 2 one day, 1 a week later, 2 some days later then repeat process for one or two months. That is scary for us. So we now have only Rosie and she's been brumating for a week then up for a few days then sleeps again. She has been awake for the last 4 days but has been going to sleep earlier. She's become more of a loving sweetheart since we lost Goldie.
