Jace, Zy, Sorin, Ava, Nissa, & Koth -->Update 12-18 w/ Pics

Hello,
I'm relatively new to this website, though I have posted questions prior to this "blog." I fell in love with bearded dragons on a trip to Petco. I've always wanted a reptile and I have a dragon statue collection at home so it seemed perfect. Jace, however, was not my first beardie. My first beardie was one of the two smaller ones. The employees hadn't gotten around to putting on of the little ones up for adoption because he would have a seizure whenever he was picked up. They were pretty sure the one I had picked wasn't the seizure one. I bought him the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and am sad to say I returned him that following Monday. This one had seizures whenever he was put down. I knew, being a new owner, that it would be better for the both of us if I returned him to Petco and that was when I got Jace, the love of my life. On a side note, the two that suffered from seizures got adopted to loving homes where someone can take care of them . Anyways, on to my picture show.

This was my first night with Jace. He no longer has that cage - he is in a bigger one and on tiles instead.

The first week montage:

I loved the way he just dug a bed and curled up.

He's going to buy some bigger raisers for Nissa and Ava's cages to the UTH wires don't get pinch.

He was curious about Sorin's color and how different it was from Jace and Zy's.

No idea if he did/will tell my grandma.

I mean...I know the two of you don't see eye to eye, but I think he doesn't want you happy. So (and I hope I don't eat my words), I don't think he will tell your grandmother.

I don't know, he's had over 6 hours to tell her and when I talked to her when I got home, she seemed fine. Normal.

Grandpa sounded as if he liked your new additions, so I think he'll keep it to himself, too, at least my fingers are crossed. It's not as if you haven't had them for awhile and they're not causing any rise in the electric bill.

I'm so sorry about your bad day at work, I would be right beside Esther, too, Liz. That guy sounds like bad news. Hope tomorrow is better and if he continues his nonsense I hope he gets fired. Did you find your DD card?

I think the major reason for him being okay - especially with Sorin - is that I told him about Sorin's living conditions when I bought him and that he was as good as a rescue. Almost all of the pets we have had had been rescues.

Paul wants me to talk to my boss about what happened, but I feel uncomfortable with it. The cook will know it was me. He only said $hit to me. No one else. I did promise Paul that if the the cook acts up today I'll send my boss a text as promised.

I cannot wait to find another job, but it's hard since I'm still in school.

A coworker who was supposed to work a double with me today called out leaving us short on three shifts. We were short for breakfast and then I texted my boss and got the okay to replace her for lunch and dinner.

I'm making an executive decision to end your weekend now. Sheesh. It's been a rough one but when we started that 2 hr phone call last night, I had braced myself for crying together as soon as I got the text!

Bright side, you still have a home and so do ALL your babies...and uhhhh...we got to chit chat for over 2 hrs. I love you, girl. Hang in there, HE HAS ONE FOOT OUT THE DOOR ALREADY. So, smile inside. His words mean nothing.

Call me later. If at all possible, I'd really like to make a trip out to visit sooner rather than later. Just me though. Still a Hailey day...but if you have ANY free time, let me know. I think we need a big girl's night

So sorry to hear about your horrible day. Don't blame you for getting upset. That guy sure sounds like a real jerk, hope he gets fired!

Hopefully the rest of your work will be better and much calmer.

I'll bet your grandpa will keep the secret too.

The secrets.... The cat's out of the bag. I came home and was waiting for my grandma to say something and she did. "So I hear you have another beard." I said yes and I explained his prior living conditions at the Petco and Enfield and she said "Too bad you gave away that cage." She's referring to Vraska's when Jeremy and Kristine came to bring her home. I'm like yeah... Too too bad.

My world is not crashing and I am no where nearer to the end of my life than I thought I would be. She didn't mention the leos and I guess my grandpa didn't bother mentioning them because he doesn't care for him - they don't cuddle him like Jace and Zy do.

Zy (after three days of pumpkin) finally took a poop. I wasn't there for it - Paul was. It must have been a massive one because she looks thinner - thinner in a good way. She still isn't eating food but basks on her hammock all day. So what do I do? Continue to offer her food? She's not acting sick and she looks great. Hasn't been dropping any weight since she stopped eating for a month and a half. Pretty active when I take her out for play time so what is this? When I rubbed her belly to try to get her to poop I didn't feel anything abnormal.

No word on my glasses yet. Very disappointed about that though tomorrow would be a better day for me to get them.... Assuming they come in tomorrow. They could very well come in on Wednesday. I'm just happy that they're transitions lenses.

Paul and I had a long talk today that started with me not being able to rely on him and going about everything alone. I told him that I need him to step up to the game. He's taking melatonin to help him sleep at night and I started him on the B-Complex with me to give him energy during the day because he he turns off his alarm and goes back to sleep which is a big no no. He's always going to talk with my counselor Thursday if my counselor has the time because (he says he doesn't) both Kristine (who suggested it) and I think it might help to have someone unbiased to talk with. It's helped me and it's free from the school so how much could it hurt him?
