My girl Lu ate one of my anti-anxiety capsules on Wednesday of last week, the night before I left for bonnaroo. Everything in me wanted to stay, but I paid $350 for my ticket and people were sharing my tent so I went. The lizard-sitter says that she would not eat her waxworms or any of her greens and she was black all of the next day. Over the weekend, her color returned to normal and she moved around a little but she had some weird behavior issues: she moved slowly in tight circles crouched down in a protective stance for the first few days and now she still won't eat.
As of yesterday I could get her to drink some water but now she's all bloated with water and she still won't eat or move too terribly much except to situate herself on her favorite rock and sometimes lay under her basking lamp.
The medicine she ate was a 75mg venlafaxine and I'm worried she may also be suffering from my attempt to lavage her on that first night which mostly ended up with water everywhere and very little getting into her system.
UGA has a veterinary hospital about an hour and a half away from me and I'm going to the UGA campus tomorrow to turn in forms for my graduate program. Should I take her to the Veterinary ER while I'm there or will the drive be too much stress???
