isospora and pineworms

Hellow today i take poop of my BD on fecal test and she is positive in isospora and oxyurida.I will take her to a vet next Tuesday or Wednesday now is weekend in slovenia.She will get diagnosis next week so are thoes 2 parasites really deadly can she wait few more days or not??Im not sure what kinde of treatmen she will get i hope she will be fine after treatment.

She will need a fecal done by a vet to confirm isospora which is a coccidian parasite. She may get some diarreah from it but I would take her as soon as possible for a fecal and antiparacidic medicine for it. The other is pinworms and again she needs that confirmed. HAND WASHING is vital when you are done handling her as pinworms can pass to humans. You will need to keep her tank clean. bake her logs at 250 in the oven for 30 mins ans disinfect all her furniture...remove any substrate and disinfect it and for now use newspaper or paper towels on her floor for ease of cleaning. Its very important to keep her tank clean. Bath her daily for 20 mins to keep her hydrated in warm water to her hips. Hope this helps.

Albon is the treatment most vets give for pinworms and panacur for coccidian is normally the treatment of choice. Since you did not give a count, a vet will be able to tell what the count is on the parasites. Some coccidia is normal in beardies with a very low count. Its when the count gets to high that treatment is given. While she is being treated if a vet deems that necessary, you will want to give a probiotic as the antiparacitics can kill off the good gut flora. You can give non dairy soy yogurt 2 hours after she has her doses and up to 2 weeks after shes off the medicine to replenish the good gut flora.

Hello Tonja tnx for your asnwers i allready use paper towls all the time when she was 1 months old she start to eat sand and i was concerned i took all send out and put a paper towels in my terrarium i use paper towels now for 4 months and i will continued to use paper towels they are more sterile and easyer to clean as sand.I've got the results of fecal test last Friday isospora and pineworms not sure the number of thoes parasites vet old me over the fon for isospora and pineworms are confirmed by vet tomorrow im still waiting for report i hope it come in next 2 days over the post Tomorrow is Monday and i will call a vet and i hope i can take her to a vet this Wednesday.

It has been shown to be effective against streptococci, klebsiella, proteus, shigella, staphylococci, escherichia, and salmonella.

If Albon kill salmonella in my BD can somethink goes really wrong with her??Do Bearded dragons need sallmonela to survive or they dont care if they have it or they dont have it?

Beardies do well with albon. All beardies have a degree of salmonella in them and I don't see any harm in giving albon. But for an answer I would pm Drache613 for that answer. Many beardies have taken albon without a problem.

Ok yestrday i visit a vet and she got a medicine i forgot the name of medicine im confused person but i need to give her 1 shot of mediciene for 5 days first shot she got yestrday after 2 weeks i need to take poop on fecal test again and this is it she is better now she start to eat more and bask after 1 shot so im happy she is doing fine .She only dont like to eat crickets dont know why :? if i give her mealworm she eat it in second if i give her cricket she only stares at crickets but she eat araund 25 crickets today and alot of greens i hope she will start to eat alot more soon.Tnx for all your replays and help
