Isopod sudden death - what could possibly have caused this?

I don't, I've had him for almost a year now...... WOW after i wrote that it sank in. Seems like i got him just a few days ago.

Man it sure does.
He was on the smallish side for his age when i got him, still is truth be told. I guess that's partly why it doesn't seem that long.
