Is this normal bathtime behavior?

Well, today I got home and noticed Scorch had little pieces of shed everywhere... so I decided it was time for a bath. This is the first time I used a hand towel on the bottom of the sink for her.
So I sat her in there and filled the water up to about her armpits, and I start lightly pouring water on her back, careful not to get any in her ears... and splash! She practically dives her head in.

Nearly gave me a heart attack. So the bathtime was filled with her diving around head-first into the towel... I'm guessing because her face is uncomfortable from shedding and shes trying to get it off...

Should I be worried about water getting in her ears? She would like turn her head and rub it (partially under the water) against the towel. I'm quite concerned that she might have gotten water in her ears.

Heh this was I think the cutest bath I've ever witnessed though :p She's so silly.

So anyway, halp, oh gurus of Beardie knowledge :p

Dunking her head/diving should not hurt. I'm sure she could feel the texture of the towel and thought it would be a good spot to rub. I would only be concerned if later you notice her sitting with her head tilted to one side or the other for long periods of time, as this is a sign of ear infection. They do have a membrane that covers their eardrum (you can see the thin clear film looking area in the ear), and as long as that membrane is transparent and not discolored or cloudy, she's fine. Let her enjoy her play time as much as you did watching her antics!

Oh my gosh, I would love to have seen that! When I give Spike a bath in the bathtub, he just sits there. If I give him a bath in the sink, he moves around a little. He doesn't mind the bath, I think he just gets bored.

Hehe Scorch usually kinda just sits there. Adding the towel definitely got a reaction... but just because shes got pesky sheds.
Other times she tries to run up the sides. I'm scared she'll hurt herself doing that o_O

It was really cute though.

A friend of mine has a dragon who will dive and splash around every time he gets bath, and I know a couple of my aunts dragons do it to.

Hehe maybe she will do that during bath time more often then :D I'm happy hehe it was so cute. I can't wait to snap a video of it.

Actually yea I gave her one again today with the towel and she did these weird little butt wiggles like she was settling into the towel, it was odd lol.

I was gonna ask the same question, everytime I give my female a bath she splashs around diving her head under water she'll do that the whole time but my male just sits there or tries to get out.

Wow even when she's not in shed?
Hehe we must have a couple of water loving dragons on our hands, heehee.

Buddha loves to swim. It is the weirdest thing! He will lay on his belly and wiggle around in the bath tub.
He swims almost like a snake, Ive never seen a dragon do this before... definately wasnt walking around either. Mostly just on his belly, wiggling around in the tub!
I also freaked out when I saw his head go low enough and got a little water in his ears, so I drained more water out so no matter what there was no way to get water in his ears again! Lol.

I will have my camera ready if he decides to be a water snake again!

Fredward did the same thing to me earlier last week. It was the 1st time he did it. I actually grabbed him cause I thought he was under too long. He just kept on going in circles, swimming underwater. Scared the doo doo outta me, too. He doens't do it all the time just once in awhile. Funny creatures aren't they? Fred is barely fitting in the sink anymore. Time to move to the tub. I wonder what that would be like

Melkor LOVES to swim. I get worried about water in his ears, but when he resurfaces he always scratches at his head with his leg to get any out, just like how some people shake their heads and tap one side of their head with their palm to get water out. It's very cute, he's having a blast, and I don't see any reason to worry, since he seems to get all the intruding water out of his ears himself. He also bobs up and down to make the water splash around his head. We're thinking about putting a little water in a kiddie pool for him next time so he can swim more freely :)

So Glen sometimes likes baths and sometimes doesn't, sometimes as soon as my hand hits the water he swims with all his might to my arm and latches on. Today however, he swam a bunch and sometimes just stopped and floated, it kinda makes me nervous when he does this, it looks like he is holding his breath and he closes his eyes and just floats, usually with only one leg touching the bottom, he can stand up if he wants to. Is this normal for beardies to do? Also on a side note, he usually eats like a pig, what every I give him, which i usually hand feed him supers, and crickets, he eats them, The last two days he has only snacked on a few worms and crickets that were in with him for a while. I am guessing he is just not that hungery and he will eat a bunch tomorrow is this normal as well?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
