thanks for the reply. but now I am so confused cuz he ate like 25 crickets today along with some carrots. I don't think he touched his greens though. ( do they bulk up on protein before going into the deep sleep? ) he sat up on his branch for a little while, then down to the floor where he just sits all day in the back corner staring at the glass for a few hours then finally he sits under his hide with his head sticking out. not sleeping, just sitting there very sluggish looking, eyes open. ( maybe i should mention too that his hide is under his basking spot. and the branch he climbs up on is on top of the hide.) i also gave him a few super worms later this afternoon, those certainly got him to come out! but then back under the hide again. ?? so if he is going into burmination..do I still turn his lights on everyday as usual? and just let him do his thing? and if he does finally go into this deep sleep, do i still provide greens and put crickets in the tank? do they like it warm when the burminate? and can i take him out and hold him?? i took him out today and he just sat on my chest while I laid down on the couch and he just sat there and stared at me, turned his head a few times, then after about 15 min his beard started to get dark so i put him back in his tank. i don't see any signs of stress, on him, his belly n beard are completely white, other than in the morning when he scoots out a little more from under his hide and his beard with go a little dark. I just assumed he was hungry cuz once he saw me bring his greens his beard got lighter. those marks they get on their bellies DO mean they are stressed RIGHT?? I seem to be reading too much and reading different things and starting to get confused. Is it true that if they close both eyes or one eye they are stressed??? (i read that somewhere) ?? and elliot does that all the time when i pet him. I hope someone out there can answer most of my questions. please! and thank you in advance.
