Is reptiglo 10 really bad? I guess I made big mistake...

I just changed Spike's UVB light and got the reptisun 10. I didn't realize that I had the other one this whole time, 6+ months, the reptiglo 10 tube. I was reading something on here and it said the reptiglo is bad for them. Spike has had that light since she was 7 months old....have I done irreparable damage? I feed her by the books, light (so I thought) by the books, temps, everything. I feel terrible, but honestly didn't realize I had the wrong light. Not sure if I ordered the wrong one on Amazon when I ordered, or not..but what is done is done. She seems healthy....always eats ok (except recently, but could be early brumation) she has grown (17.5 inches at 15 months). Is there an issue with their eyes? It never occurred to me the bulb would be bad....I feel like crying if I did anything bad to her.

It's better than nothing, but it's not really appropriate for a dragon.

The Glo series is more for Tropical species and the Sun series is more for Desert species.

The eye issue is with the "compact" or "coil" bulbs, regardless of type.

testing, that I know of, to see if it's still an issue. Most of us here just
don't bother with taking the risk/expense].

No, you probably haven't done any lasting harm. He's had UVB available,
just (probably) not a completely sufficient amount -- unless you've been
getting him into natural sunlight some too.

She spent a huge amount of time outside this summer on our screened in porch in direct sun light, and then on a window sill with the window open for shorter periods in direct sun when it got too cool for all afternoon basking. I think my mistake must have been in simply ordering the wrong tube as I really did everything by the book, and from this site (and beautiful dragons). I knew not to use coils, and remember searching for the right tube...but must have been in a hurry on amazon and just saw "repti" and "10." Luckily she has been outside on the porch in direct sun since it has been warm enough last spring. I made a big point of the real thing. Hopefully that was enough.
