Is paint safe for bearded dragons?

we want to paint a side of our boys' enclosure and we want to know whether or not paint is safe for bearded dragons and what paints are safe for them. all help is welcome!

water based,
Low VOC
acrylic
Especially the acrylic paint for kids.
pretty much the main things.

if you want to varnish it then a water based / low VOC varnish make sure it's nontoxic. Paint wise, acrylic paint is usually a good choice then varnished with non toxic poly varnish.
