I use ceramic tile that doesn't have any glossy coat. It's slightly rough/dry feeling if I rub my finger across it. It's enough to provide traction. It came as part of a 6 pack at Lowe's and I had them cut down to appropriate size at the store for free. I use them as 3 sets of 2 and just swap them out when they need cleaning.
