Is my beardie growing properly?

The beardie was born on April 25 2014. He is 6" from head to tail but he also has a tail nip. I have a 10.0 reptisun and a 75w in the basking area which reaches to about 100-105 degrees. He eats regularly everyday with live gut loaded crickets dusted. I also leave mustard greens in the tank also lightly dusted. He is also housed in a 40g breeder tank right now. I'm wondering if he is growing properly because to me he doesn't look like he has grown since I got him. He weighs about 16-19 grams.

Hi there...he is pretty small, but not extremely so. Some dragons grow more slowly, but it can also be that he needs more live feeders. Do you offer crickets once a day or more ? As babies they should be fed as many crix as they can eat in 10 minutes , but 3 times a day. So if you're feeding him 2-3 times a day, then that's just how he chooses to eat for now.

I feed him twice a day. Once at 12 or 1 PM and again at 8 or 9 PM and he can eat around 5-15 crickets each feeding.

I would not feed him live feeders so late in the evening - he should be able to bask for a couple hours after he eats them so they can start to digest.
Other than that, how is his appetite, his activity level, his weight change week to week? I would recommend getting a digital scale and weighing him weekly or biweekly. As long as his weight is increasing, even slightly, his activity level and appetite are a better indicator of health.

My beardie is 2 years old, 16", and weighs 267g which is usually considered unhealthy - but he runs around for a couple of hours a day, has normal poops, etc. He has a clean bill of health!
