Is my beadie a little bit stupid?

My beadie will go to sleep after his light is turned off at night. He has a large log hide on the cool side of his tank but he will always sleep on the hot spot of his tank.

I don't have a problem with that but when I need to turn on the light of the room where his tank is in, he will be disturbed and open his eyes, looking at me angrily. But he never takes shelter of his hide at all.

So tonight, when his light is off, I just manually moved him under his log hide on the cool side. Now with me in the room, he sleeps comfortably under his log hide, undisturbed by the light in the room.

I am just wondering if my beadie is a little bit stupid/////

If he is disturbed by the light in the room when he is sleeping, why doesn't he just move under his hide?

Maybe he wants to be warm at night when he sleeps... Why not try putting a towel over his tank when he goes to sleep and take it off In the a.m.?

I find my baby girl sleeping all over her tank. Sometimes she tries to sleep vertically in the corner, under her paper towels on the warm and cool side.. Lol but I find they do like to sleep where they feel most secure.. I made her a styrofoam castle and put a washcloth (blankie) in with her and she will snuggle right up. Every now and then I will move her but I just realized eh she will sleep wherever she wants...

Just always be sure to remove any crickets as they will nibble on your sleeping beauty.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
