Is it ok to feed DragonFly Larvae instead of crickets as pro

Is this ok? Hes 6 months old and LOVES these things to death. I heard you can feed them these but i was wondering if they could replace crickets if im of course still supplementing him regularly. And I know babies should be eating 20-30 crickets a day but hw many of these larvae are he suppose to eat? Their pretty big but i cut them in half for him. Any knowledge is appreciated!!! =] ive never fed these to a beardie before and its new to me (not beardies just the dragon fly larvae thing) So please no advice on feeding methods and such...Ive got it under control I promise ;]

What are DragonFly larvae? Surely not real dragonfly larvae which are aquatic? Tell us more! :study:

Haha yes real dragon fly larvae, they come in a can already packaged up for you and dead, their about the ugliest bugs you will ever see. The first time i opened the can i quickly set it down before i retched >.< their so gross looking. Its a can of dead bugs! But, i know u can feed them to beardies and they think their the best treat in the world. most any petstore that carries an array of reptile feed will carry these, there in a can and made by Jarassic...something i cant remember the full name.

:shock: That's about the nastiest thing I've ever heard!! I've heard of canned crickets and canned silkworms, but who in the world would go catch dragonfly larvae out of a pond? That's one job I'd NEVER want. Besides, I really, really like dragonflies.

Ewwww... are they juicy or dried? (hahaha maybe I don't really want to know)

Lol their pretty gross and juicy and plump, ill post a pick of the can full of them here maybe tonight or tomorrow >.< their soooo icky but my baby loves them so much i cant keep them from him=]
