Hey so I got my first bearded dragon almost 2 weeks ago now, male, he's about 2.5 months old, about 8 inches including the tail. Anyway, what I was just wondering was, he has only been eating 5-15 pheonixworms a day since i got him (started 2 days after i had him, wasnt eating at all the first two days) with the occasional cricket (always offer him at least 1 every feeding) and hasn't touched any greens/fruits ive tried (collard, mustard greens, strawberries, and even romaine lettuce which i know has no value but i just wanted to see if he would eat it). i had some super worms i got before i read they were bad this small, and tried putting one in after he refused anymore pheonix worm and crickets and he gobbled it right up (dont worry he didnt get anymore) so im not entirely sure what to think of that situation. is it just relocation stress still? he just went through a face shed too(last bit came off yesterday) so could that be part of it?

the next is, he hates being inside his Viv. he loves to either hang out on my desk under my desk lamp on top of my beanie i have raised up there for him or in my hood of my hoodie, the second i start to put him back he starts to crawl back on my hand and just pancackes or just wraps his arms around. now i dont have a problem with him hanging out on my desk for hours at a time while im doing my stuff, but i was just wondering if its alright for him? id say he's out anywhere from 30mins-2.5 hours depending on the time/what im doing just hanging out within arms reach. he never motions to go to his tank and i make sure he stays warm.

any thoughts/ideas?

thanks

oh, almost forgot you guys might want to know his viv set up. its a 40 gallon breeder, the cool side is in the upper mid 70's, basking area is around 105(he doesn't like it any hotter), repti-sun 10 uvb bulb going across. he seems adjusted to his tank, usually has his nice creamy belly on inside unless its the morning or i just put him in. just wondering why he still isnt eating like he should, and if him being out this long is alright.
ive been giving him baths every 2-3 days as well.

if there's anything else you need to know just let me know.

thanks again

everything seems fine except he just doesn't want to eat much. he eats like 9-10 repti/pheonixworms per sitting, then goes and basks for a bit then either basks some more or does whatever he does, explore my room or his tank or whatever. im guessing by the lack of response its just probably relocation stress still. hoping he starts to eat better soon.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
