Introducing Sunshine!

My name is Lisa! I never thought I would be the proud owner of a bearded dragon! Sunshine really isn't my beardie...she is my 9 year old daughter's beardie. She has been preparing for this pet for about 2 years. We bought her a book on how to take care of a bearded dragon and she has read it several times. She fell in love with bearded dragons after a trip to the loca aquarium on a girl scout field trip. They had a special behind the scenes tour and the troop was given a bearded dragon to handle and take pictures with. After that she just drove us crazy about getting one. This past Christmas she put a bearded dragon on the top of her list for Santa and we finally thought she was ready for the responsibility. On Christmas morning she found all the necessary items for her new pet and Santa left her a gift card to go pick out her dragon. Finally, on December 26th the wait was over and I took her to Petco, where she picked out Sunshine. My daughter is really happy with her

Another mom with a 9 year old in love with dragons! We had almost the same deal here, except My daughter had to get perfect grades, too. She did it. And now I'm the one even more in love with the dragons. We got our 1st in May - number 3 is on its way! They are fascinating creatures. Congrats on the new addition. Now we need pics

I was in the exact same situation when I got Duke 2 years ago for my 11th birthday. I went to reptile show where I was just supposed to "look" at the beardies but I ended up falling in love with Duke and got him! I'm 13 now and I love, love, love my dragon so much! Although it's the exact opposite for my parents... :roll:
