Introducing Mr. Anderson

Hi all, Im new hear and new to dragons. I recently picked up my first Bearded Dragon. My 5 year old named him Mr. Anderson. He has not seen the Matrix- I have no idea where he got that name haha. I like to call him Bierdo.

The Pet store owner that I bought him from told me he is around 6 months old and was bred by a man named Josh from Phantom Dragons. Sold to me as a Hypo.

I have him in a 36x18x18 Exo Terra with a Reptisun 10 t5ho 24 inch and a floodlight for warmth. His basking spot is around 105 and the terrarium is 80 on the cool side. Gets down to 70 at night without any heat source. Substrate is a layer of paper towels for now, but I bought slate tiles that I have to cut down to fit. He is on a wood branch, again - for now, I plan to change over to rock.

Just wanted to introduce myself and my new friend. I am new so please let me know if I am missing something.

It sounds like you're off to a good start. Lighting all sounds right on. I use the same tank and like it a lot. I got rid of the foam back to add some space and prevent bugs from hiding and put a photo background on mine. I'm glad Mr. Anderson has a happy home =)
