Introducing Mango and family new to beardies!

Hello everyone! My name is Jen and my son got his first pet for his birthday, a peach tiger beardie he named "Mango." We set up the housing last Friday and picked the boy up on Saturday. We have him in a 75 gallon tank with screen top. I used individual tiles in the bottom. I do have an undertank heater just because my son's room is so cold, but I placed flat rocks over the warm tiles. I have a temperature gun my husband got me...works awesome!!...and the basking spot, a large rock, is 105F under a 100watt bulb with 8 inch dome. I will try to post pics of Mango and his viv. He is about 5 months old, 11 1/2 inches. He is eating crickets twice daily and I've offered him chopped greens and carrots before giving him his crickets, which I dusted with calcium & vit d powder (about every other feeding.) He drinks water dripped onto his nose (and off the tiles as in one photo) and I did see him drink from his water bowl! He had lots of stress marks until I covered the back and sides of the tank with paper then they went away. Sorry so long, but just wanted to give a rundown of how we've started. Looking forward to lots of great reading and advice/sharing from this site!

Awe thank you so much! We gave him a warm bath yesterday. I think he was ok with it? He didn't move around at all, but no stress marks.

Mango is a cutie, and a great name too! It sounds like you're off to a great start. Welcome to the group AND the addiction! Oh, BTW my beardies LOVE bath time we do it daily.

Thanks Katrina! The blue border tiles were my son's idea....to look like the ocean surrounding Australia I swear Mango has grown so much in 2 days!
