Hello everyone!
I've been in a bit of a rut lately as my baby rescue of 5 days passed away last week. I really, really wanted a bearded dragon here in my new apartment (I have two back home with family) so I made the decision to order another one right away. It was more impulsive than anything, and normally I'd take my time to get another animal, but the second Bean poked his little head out of the plastic tupperware container, I've been in love.
I ordered him from Bloodbank last week, and I wanted to give myself time to announce it here in case he died on the way here or in the first few days, or I couldn't handle another beardie too soon, or anything like that.
It's day 3 now, and he's doing great. My photo booth pictures really don't do him justice, but I'll attach the one from the Bloodbank mailing list that was my decision-maker. I do want to get a 2nd beardie soon, but I think it will most likely be a rescue.
Now about Bean:
He is SUCH a handful, in a good way! He drinks his water, eats his vegetables, and is so unbelievably active! It was really obvious from the second that I held him that he has been very well cared for. He's almost 7 inches long and I have a feeling he's going to be a big boy.
One thing I am confused about though(and if you have ideas, please let me know) is that he has stress marks a lot of the time when he's in the viv, but when I take him out to hold him, they go away. The viv is properly set up, and hes eating/pooping/drinking/basking so I'm not sure what it could be..) So here is his photo dump, with a cameo by me (he would NOT stay put for these).
