Inter-Species Conflict

Hubby and I recently decided to expand our reptile collection with an adorable Merauke blue-tongued skink named Charlee. He's pretty shy so far, and our beardies are not. helping.

Deliora (our older and dominant female) hasn't taken her eye off him since we got him Thursday. If he so much as moves her way, she beards up, gapes, and glares. I think he terrifies her. I'm hoping they'll get used to each other's presence soon, or else this is going to be a LONG 10 years. Any suggestions on helping her calm down?

Can you keep them so that they are out of sight of each other?

I've considered that, but optimally I would like them to get used to the other's presence. If this doesn't calm down in a week, I'll probably cover up part of the beardie tank.
