Insight into Obie's death last December.

I uploading some pictures off my microdrive the other day and stumbled across some photos of Obie a few months before she passed. That's when I realized that we had a Christmas tree setup right near her tank. Could the pine have killed her? I know strong smelling wood like pine and cedar is avoided when building because the fumes are toxic for most reptiles. Could the live tree been what killed her?

I dont think that would of done it.
The tree wasnt in the tank so your draon wasnt exposed to direct pine fumes UNDER HEAT. Heat is the key here.
Believe Me I know there are times you just want an answer to something like this, but sometimes the answers just arent there anymore. Im sorry I cant help here.

I understand you want answers. I lost a female beardie in August of 06 and I still don't know why she got sick and then died. I had fecals done and they were clean. Then Redrock lost her grip Sept 1 2008 and injured her head, dead on the 10th. I don't know why she lost her grip. I wish I could give you answers.

Previously I blamed an infection to a wound on her tail. She was a rescue. When I brought her home she was impacted and had a section of her tail bitten off by a cage mate. Starting from that point I would suppose 4 1/2 years isn't a terrible lifespan but certainly seems to short.
