Insects Amounts

Hey guy!

I'm getting my bearded dragon soon-ish, and I was wondering about how much they eat. I will be getting a sub-adult to adult beardie, and I know it can be different for each individual bearded dragon, but I just want to get a rough estimate, please. My three staple insect will be silkworms, crickets and roaches.

An adult eats much less in terms of bugs than a growing dragon will. Adults are on a mainly veg diet so only about 20% or so of their overall diet will consist of bugs. I would provide as many as they want for 10 minutes or so every 2-3 days while providing a nice fresh salad daily. It's tough to say an exact number of bugs because that will vary not only between dragons but also between feedings. It sounds like you have a nice variety ready to go and will make your new buddy very full and happy =)

So insects for 10 mins every 2 days, fresh salad every day. Is salad once a day, or should I fill it as soon as there is none left?
