Incandescent Light Bulb Ban

I am curious, now that the incandescent light bulb ban has been put into effect in many areas, how does this affect reptile owners? I did buy up a whole bunch of incandescent bulbs for my critters while stores still stocked them (in our area they can finish selling their existing stock but not order more), but what happens once they are gone? Are there alternatives aside from ceramic heat emitters? Will the alternative cost a tail and a foot?

Halogen spotlight bulbs will still be around for quite a long time, possibly forever.

LED and Florescent bulbs just don't cut it for spotlight/floodlight purposes.

Other than that? Yeah, we'll be reduced to using CHEs or buying "pet" bulbs.

I cleaned out the local Walmart of 40, 60, 100 Watt bulbs. Not as if they will go bad. I would rather pay 50 cents a piece versus $10 a piece with a reptile brand on the box, but that essentially does the same thing.
